1. Staff Appreciation Week

2. Play Day and Field Day – Volunteers Needed!

Play Day (May 23rd) and Field Day (May 24th) are quickly approaching. In order to make these days a success, the PTA is looking for volunteers! We need your help with activity stations, making sure the kids have snacks and water to keep them going and a few other great ways to get involved. Please sign up here if you are available to volunteer on one or both days. It should be a lot of fun for all!

3. PTA Board Election and Vote on Bylaws on May 17th

The PTA Board Election/Bylaws Approval/4th general membership meeting will take place on Thursday, May 17th at 6 p.m. via Zoom. During this brief meeting, we will elect the 2022-2023 Wayside PTA Board slate. All Wayside PTA members are eligible to vote. Please register to attend this meeting and get the Zoom link.

We will also need to vote on our new Bylaws for Free State PTA. The Bylaws can be found here.

4. It Takes a Village

Thank you so much to Seema Gupta and Melissa Adler for helping Wayside recertify as a Maryland Green School in 2022 through the Maryland Association for Environmental & Outdoor Education.

If you are interested in being a Green Team leader (and will have a child at Wayside in 2026), please contact Melissa Adler at president@waysidepta.org.

5. Trees were distributed!

Seventy-one trees went home with Wayside families this week! Thank you to all who participated to make the earth a little greener!
