 3. Girls on the Run needs YOU!

Calling all Wayside Parents/Guardians!
Wayside would love to sponsor a Girls on the Run team in the spring, 2022 for girls in grades 3, 4 and 5.  Girls on the Run trains girls to run a non-competitive 5k while instilling confidence, perseverance and healthy habits.

In order to form a team we need:

  • 1 site liaison (coordinates the program)
  • 3-4 coaches who can commit 1-2x per week for 10 weeks plus complete all training and background checks. (each day would run from 4pm – 5/5:15 pm; days would be determined by the coaches availability)

Here is the approximate timeline for spring, 2022:

  • Dec/January: Site Commitments due
  • Early Feb: Coach Daughter Registration
  • Mid Feb: Program Registration Opens
  • Mid March: Season Starts
  • Mid to late May: GOTR MOCO 5K
