1. Get Into the Wayside Spirit!
Wayside spirit wear is now available online! As an introduction, free shipping is available from Friday, September 25 until Monday, October 12. Visit the online store at www.waysidespiritwear.com.
Students and parents can choose which Wayside logos they would like on a variety of different products. There even is a special “Wayside Zooming into 2020” design! Students can customize the color of their items easily.

2. Join the PTA by October 1 + Free School Directory!
Remember to join the PTA by October 1. Support your school and connect with other families! A free printed school directory and access to the online directory comes with each membership, and you need to join the PTA by October 1 to be included in the directory. Membership is $35 for parents and $10 for teachers and staff. Membership dues don’t cover everything that the PTA provides for the school, so we invite you to make a direct donation to the Wayside PTA. Any amount is welcome! The suggested donation is $100.
For returning members, verify your contact information in AtoZ and pay membership dues and direct donations by clicking the button above. This link provides directions for returning families. For new members, and for anyone without an AtoZ account, follow these directions.

4. Calling All Wayside Chefs and Bakers, Big and Small!
We are collecting recipes to create a cookbook of Wayside’s favorite dishes. If you would like to be included in this special project, email the following information to programs@waysidepta.org by October 16, 2020:
- Name of dish
- Name of contributing student or family
- Country of origin
- Number of servings
- Ingredients
- Steps
- Special notes/story
- Photo (png or jpg file) of your child or family creating the dish or posing with final product or have your child draw a picture of the dish to accompany the recipe if you would like
We can’t wait to see what our Wayside community is eating!

5. Name Our Wayside Dolphin!
Everyone needs a name! Please join us in voting for a name for our Wayside Elementary School Dolphin.Your vote counts! This poll will be open until Friday, October 2. The name of our dolphin will be shared during announcements on Monday, October 5. Click here to vote.

6. Volunteer with the Wayside PTA
The year is under way and now is the time to get involved! We heard through our parent survey that you are excited to find ways to keep our great traditions the kids have come to love. Let’s make it happen! Here are a few ways to get involved now:
 Spirit Nights – Sick of cooking? Me too! It’s been a hard year for many in our community. Let’s support our friends and families, while also helping the school!
 + Supermarkets Fundraising – If your household is anything like mine, online and grocery shopping are regular occurrences. Help bring some of that back to support our kids!
 Bingo Night – Who doesn’t want to yell out Bingo these days? Help find new ways to keep this fun night for all!
