2. Virtual Talent Show Coming May 21!

3. Save the Date: Spirit Night May 19 at Founding Farmers!

The next Spirit Night will be at MOCO Founding Farmers on Wednesday, May 19. Founding Farmers will give back to the PTA 15% of total food and beverage sales for all orders that reference Wayside Elementary. You can order online for pick up or delivery or make a reservation and dine in at the restaurant. Guests looking to order for pick up/delivery should go to:  https://www.wearefoundingfarmers.com/location/moco/  to order.  The code to use on the order is WAYSIDE15, which will be active starting May 17. If guests dine in the restaurant, they should just mention the same code WAYSIDE15. NOTE: Orders through third parties (like DoorDash and Uber Eats) will NOT apply to the Wayside Spirit Night.

4. Seeking Your Creative Ideas for 2021-2022!

Want to get involved in the Wayside community? We’d love your help! Before we know it, the new school year will be here, and we want to be ready to hit the ground running. We are seeking volunteers to help in the following areas:

  • Membership/Directory Chair: Promote membership and organize the school directory. Most of the work is done mid-August to October.
  • Reflections Chair: Coordinate PTA Reflections art program at Wayside. Most of the work is done October to January.
  • Logowear Co-chair: Work with VP Ways & Means on logowear designs, sales, and vendors. Logowear will likely be online next year.
  • Hospitality Chair(s): Organize treats for our Wayside staff in spring and fall, and the holiday lunch.
  • Room Parent Coordinator: We expect room parents to return in 2021-2022! The room parent coordinator is the main point of contact between room parents and the PTA Board/School.

If you are interested in helping out, please contact Kirsten Carr at volunteers@waysidepta.org.

5. It Takes A Village

Hats off to Heather Michaels, Kristin Silbowitz, and Debbie Band for organizing Staff Appreciation Week! Our fabulous Wayside teachers and staff deserved it.
Thank you also to all Wayside PTA members during this complicated year. Your support and donations make good things happen at Wayside, including the weekly wellness breaks this spring.
