1. KINDH 2022
It’s time to sign up to help make the holiday season special for a family in need! Drop off unwrapped gifts in the front hall at Wayside with a note that includes the family number and child’s name by December 13th.

2. Register for winter enrichments now!
Registration is now open for the winter enrichment session! You can choose from cooking, dance, arts, chess, yoga, science, sports and more! Please use the Kiddo link to sign your students up! Read the dates very carefully as providers are running different programming to best suit their curriculum needs. Registration closes on Thursday, December 22nd.

3. Wayside Spirit Night at Chick-fil-A is on December 6th!

4. Treats needed for the Wayside Staff Holiday Lunch
We are looking for cookies, bars, brownies or other sweet treats for our amazing Wayside teachers and staff. The lunch will be held on Monday, December 12th. If you are able to make or buy a dozen treats, please sign up here now! Contact Melissa Adler at president@waysidepta.org with any questions.

5. Calling all 3rd-5th grade parents!

Wayside is hoping to host a Girls on the Run team for girls in grades 3-5 in the spring months (March – May). Coaches are the heart of the GOTR program! Each season, volunteer coaches inspire and guide a team, two days a week, through a tried-and-true curriculum that instills confidence and self-empowerment skills, while training for a 5k! Not a runner? No problem, all you need is a desire to support and encourage 3rd-5th grade girls. If you are able to commit to two days a week, please contact Jackie Stief at activities@waysidepta.org to learn more!

6. Wayside Talent Show
Do you have a special talent that you want to share with the Wayside community? The Wayside Talent Show is looking for students to perform in our first in person talent show since 2019. Sign up now to receive additional information about submitting videos of your talent by January 21, 2023. We can’t wait to see you on the stage on March 24th! Questions? 7. MCPS Refurbished Car and Computer Sale
Give yourself or someone you love an early holiday present! MCPS Automotive Trades (ATF) and Information Technology (ITF) Foundations Students Will Host a Refurbished Car and Computer Sale.
When: Saturday, December 10, 2022, 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Where: Gaithersburg High School 101 Education Blvd. Gaithersburg, MD 20877
Why: Three times a year, students from the ATF and ITF programs operate public sales where refurbished cars and computers are offered to the community at competitive prices. These sales provide ATF and ITF students with the opportunity to practice their customer service skills, earn Student Service Learning hours, and develop a deeper appreciation for community involvement.
